Hi! I’m Korrin a human-centered UX/UI Designer who creates engaging digital products through empathetic design.

I find people fascinating! One person can make thousands of choices in a day that ultimately creates the life they live and I am so curious about their motivations behind every choice. This curiosity and my love of design have lead me to become a UX/UI Designer.

I studied Visual Design at Richard Stockton University in NJ. Currently, I am a freelance graphic designer with a passion for typography. I am experienced in branding, illustration & print. I graduated from Nursing School in 2011. I have also been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years.

My background seems pretty random, right? Artist/bartender/nurse? However, the most important thread that has held strong throughout my past experience and with me today is how I am of service to people. I am respectfully inquisitive & open-minded. I have an innate ability to not only hear someone when they speak but also acknowledge them, listen & try to understand what they have to say. I utilize my ability to empathize & my research findings to drive my design decisions to create valuable, human-centered products.

Things that bring me joy: being silly with my kids, snuggling my dog, drawing letters, eating tacos, bike rides with my partner, listening to books, music, podcasts (while eating tacos)

My Design Philosophy

use empathy to guide
intention

Discovering & understanding the person who uses the product is vital. Uncovering their motivations, emotions, & goals allows me to meet them where they are and set an intention. I also apply empathy & my intention when interacting with team members.

find the root cause

The “problem” might be a product of the actual problem...the root cause. Diving deep to unveil the root cause allows me to make informed decisions & create a pleasing experience.

keep it simple

I am a believer in "less is more." I aim to build intuitive products where form and function are in harmony existing separately as one.
